Quite a Christmas

Hurworth Photograph - Huworth Hunt meet on foot in the snowSnowy Meet

To make you all smile I thought I'd share one of my favourite photographs taken a couple of seasons ago taken at a Hurworth Hunt meet on foot in the snow.  I just love the row of nosy sheep in the background silently watching the activities.

I must admit that this Christmas (2012) has been a considerably quieter than I was expecting.

Following a very wet meet of the Hurworth Hunt on Saturday 22nd December, which included the blessing of the hounds, I packed up the car and headed from North Yorkshire over the Pennines and home to Cheshire to spend the Christmas festivities with my family.

One of the highlights of our Christmas is attending the Boxing Day meet of the Cheshire Hunt, my home foxhound pack who traditionally meet in Tarporley.  This was then to be followed by a car drive back up to North Yorkshire to be back in time for hunting with the Hurworth Hunt on Saturday 29th December.

Unfortunately I have been struck down by the very nasty Norovirus, which appears to have scuppered many peoples' plans over the Christmas period, and certainly put paid to my Christmas hunting plans.  Hence the lack of recent photographs on the new website.

However, I am intending to be back out taking photographs of the Hurworth Hunt meet on New Year's Day, Tuesday 1st January 2013, and look forward to catching up with all of my hunting friends.
